What are Amazon inventory reports? Use, types and how to download
Balanced inventory and a sound inventory position on Amazon are vital to the success of your business. Effective inventory management starts with setting clear business goals and determining your objectives. Whether it's restocking top sellers, clearing overstocked or outdated inventory, or launching new products, your strategy will influence your actions. Thanks to inventory reports you can optimize your products' performance, identify areas of concern and improve stock management.
So, what are Amazon Inventory Reports anyway? An inventory report is a list of all the products you have available for sale on Amazon. For each product, the quantity, price, international availability, SKU and ASIN codes and up to 27 aspects are contemplated. This is very useful for managing the warehouse and to plan selling schedules.
Amazon offers 14 types of inventory reports, including the following:
- Active listing reports: summary of all your products active for sale on Amazon right now. It includes product pages with zero quantity.
- Open listing reports: same as active listing reports but excluding pages with zero quantity.
- Sold listing reports: report of all products sold on Amazon for the last 7, 15, 30, or 60 days.
- Inactive listing reports: list of all your products currently disabled for sale on Amazon.
- Canceled listing reports: register of all the products Amazon has cancelled, either by blocking them or marking them as inactive.
- Suppressed listing reports: report of all product pages suppressed by Amazon. The user won't be able to find these products in the marketplace. Amazon suppresses pages that don't match quality standards for product information, images, titles, etc.
- Referral fee preview reports: estimation of the referral fee based on your price for each listing. Includes open pages, pricing, and referral commissions per SKU.
